SHADOW SIBLINGS: The Book

Emma was just five years old when her little brother lost all his hair due to an autoimmune condition called alopecia. The years that followed pushed her younger brother to center stage when it came to gaining attention. From strangers to family to friends and more, SHADOW SIBLINGS The Book tells the story of what it is like to gain a refreshed perspective and stronger understanding as a sibling to someone who stands out due to challenges, circumstances or disabilities that make their brother or sister different. This story explores how Emma recognizes while traveling with her family that there are many kids who have unique situations that make them unique and likewise, families that also have brothers and sisters like her that she proudly refers to as "shadow siblings".
